Duties
|
The County Attorney is also responsible for giving legal advice to the Johnson County Fiscal Court and other taxing district entities.
The County Attorney’s office may be required to file law suits, defend law suits, write ordinances and give general legal advice to the fiscal court. Duties may include a simple preparation of an ordinance to major litigation, depending on the situation as it may occur from time to time.
The County Attorney also advises Johnson County Public Library, the Johnson County Health Department and other taxing entities on occasions depending on the circumstances.
